Service Currently Not Available (SCNA)

Possible root causes:
  1. Bad weather (rain fade)
  2. Misaligned satellite dish
  3. Damaged satellite cable / plug
  4. Wrong LNB / Entry Point settings

  • Step 1

    If it's raining, please wait until the weather improves
    1. If the weather is fine, please continue to Step 2
    2. If you live in a high-rise building with a centralized dish, please refer to Building Management.
  • Step 2

    Check satellite signal

    1. On your remote, please press HOME button

    ** If there's no response from pressing HOME, pull out the smart card a bit and then press HOME again. Push the card back in when you want to restart the decoder.

    2. Select SETTINGS followed by STB DIAGNOSTICS

    3. Check satellite strength and refer to the table below

  • Step 3

    Please ensure your LNB Type & Entry Point is Universal, 01 M3 VL 
    • If it isn't the same, you have to go back to STB Settings and change it there.
    • Follow these step by step instructions to change LNB type & Entry points

    1. On your remote, please press HOME button

    2. Select SETTINGS followed by INSTALLATION SETTINGS

    3. Enter PIN (Default Pin: 0000)

    4. Select SATELITTE SETTINGS, press OK twice

    5. Select the correct Entry Point 01 M3 VL, press OK, select OK

  • Step 4

    Switch off power supply for TV and Astro decoder

  • STEP 5

    Ensure connections to satellite cable, splitter, lightning arrester are properly connected and switch on power supply

    Turn on your TV and Astro decoder and check for service
